Osmose cable protection products are designed to protect aerial telephone, CATV, and fiber from squirrel damage, moisture, and tree abrasion.

SquirrelGuard^TM

Constructed from high-density PVC, SquirrelGuard is designed to protect metal or plastic sheathed telecommunication cables from animal gnawing, tree abrasions and moisture by acting as shingled roof.  SquirrelGuard can reduce maintenance costs, improve reliability and reduce trouble calls, and extend the useful service life of cable.  It is self-extinguishing and can help protect cables from falling secondary power lines.  SquirrelGuard has proven its durability in field applications lasting ten or more years.  It is formulated for outdoor use with special additives to prevent degradation from UV light.        

SquirrelGuard is available in two configurations and nine sizes:

• V-Shape SquirrelGuard is used to protect lashed or ring-supported cable. V-Shape sizes come in 10-foot sections with 10 cable tie slots approximately one foot apart.
• Round SquirrelGuard is used to protect lashed or self-supporting cable. Round sizes come in 10-foot sections with cable tie openings at each end. Sections can be easily cut to size with standard aviation type snips.

Cable Guard

Cable Guard is made from the same durable material as SquirrelGuard and is manufactured in 8" lengths for use in T-zones and other hard-to-fit areas.

Flex Guard

Flex Guard is a flexible corrugated polyethylene tube designed for covering service cable drops. Special additives to the compound help it resist UV degradation.  Flex Guard is available in three widths: 3/4", 1", and 2", delivered in 10-foot lengths.  It is split lengthwise for easy installation.
